A virtually stringless variety, Sugar Daddy Snap Peas are a sweet treat right off the vine.
Direct sow 1" deep and 1"-2" apart in well-drained, organically rich soil immediately after all threat of frost is gone. Plant again in late summer for a quick Fall harvest. Thin best starts to 6"-9" as true leaves emerge, and give them some support for climbing. Pods will form mostly at the top of the vine for easy harvesting. Snip from the vine with scissors when pods appear plump.
Especially resistant to disease, this variety is a great companion for strawberries, corn, potatoes, eggplant and cucumbers.
